Cemetery

Yukima walks up still gripping her bleeding shoulder tightly and as the rain poors down around her and she stares at her fathers grave before falling to her knees staring up at the sky she drops her head using her hands to hold herself up and cries as the blood runs down her arm. She looses consciousness having already lost too much blood and her body goes limp as her heartbeat starts to fade.

A stranger happens to walk by seeing her on the ground and checks up on her, he then takes her to the old caretakers building putting her onto a warm bed with lots of covers and bandages her up making the bleeding stop and gets her water, then he calls a friend to come pick her up.

She lays there completely still in a deep sleep.

The guy gets her to drink water as she sleeps deeply and he speaks "Such a pretty young thing, wonder what happened to you." He keeps waiting for his friend to come.

She coughs and sits up as he has her drink the water and looks around. "Where am I?"

The old guy smiles showing his missing teeth "Your in the caretakers building at the cemetary dear. What were you doing here?"

She looks down and creases her brow. "I was coming to see my Dad.." She tries to get up leaning her weight on her injured shoulder and screams gripping it falling back n the bed as pain radiates through her arm.

The guy laughs "Dont try to get up just yet. Your going to need some rest. You obviously lost a lot of blood. I did what I could and sewed it back up so dont go re-opening that wound young lady." A knock at the door and he opens the door. Dan is at the door and looks shocked to see your the reason why he was called out here "Yukima!! How did you get here???" Old guy "So you know her." Dan goes over to the bed quickly and checks on your arm "That was a very stupid thing to do! Leaving the hospital with an infected arm! Lets go, we need to get you back there right away."

She looks down. "It's my fault...if I would've paid attention he would be okay..." Tears run down her cheeks.

Dan "Who Squall? Hes fine, he pulled through and is in a private room right now at the hospital. He's a tough guy. Benji is really worried about you wondering where you took off to, he's out looking for you. Now, lets get you back to the hospital, I'll help you out to my car."

She shakes her head still gripping her arm. "I won't go back."

Dan "I figured so I brought this." He pulls out a little kit and takes off your bandages and pulls out a needle preparing some antibiotics and makes her take it, then pulls out a bottle and a swab, he dabs the swab and rubs her wound with it "This is for your own good so dont struggle with me!"

She pushes his hand away. "Don't touch me." She keeps her gaze down and her voice cold.

Dan "You just want to feel sorry for yourself? You just want that infection to get worse and die??? Benji would be very upset if he seen you in this state. I dont feel sorry for you one bit. Just let me help you, and dont be so damn stubborn with me! Jeez!" He takes out a new swab "How about you clean the wound then."

"You don't know anything about me! Do you wanna know the truth? My family was going into debt. We we're going to lose everything because of one stupid mistake that my bitch of a mom made. She wasn't getting enough money anymore from the rich men she rented me to by the hour. My father loved me so much. He would've done anything for me. My mother told me one day she would stop the men if I did what she said. So a got my father a glass of water and poured cleaning solution into it. I handed it to him. He knew right away what it was. But he looked down at me and saw one look at my bruised and beaten face and drank it anyway. He died with the hour. They pronounced him dead due to a heart attack." She cries even harder biting her lips till it bleeds.

Dan looks down and away "I'm sorry....I didnt know..." The old guy steps out of the room. Dan just stays quiet for the moment

She pulls up her arm rubbing her eyes and sniffles. "So it doesn't matter what happens to me. If I don't make it then I die. If I recover then I'm telling the authorities and I'll spend the rest of my life in jail."

"It wasnt your fault, your mother forced you into getting that drink for your father." Dan sighs "Your mother was the one who was in the wrong, not you."

"It doesn't matter. I was 14. I had fair judgment. I should've refused regardless of what she did to me." She pulls herself up and starts to head out the door.

Dan steps in front of you "Tell me how you were feeling that day."

"Confused. Scared. The last man she set me with was rough. He hit me. He threw me into the headboard and broke my front teeth and nose. I had bruises covering my body. He took a hanger and heated it and drug it down my back and shoulders." Shivers thinking of it.

"I'm sorry to hear that. You never wanted to experience that again, thats why you did as your mother said, did she stop setting you up with men after your father drank the solution?" Dan looks at you

She lifts up her shirt showing him the burned in brand mark on her back. "Does it look like it? It took two years of plastic surgery to revert my face back to the way it was."

"You poor girl. Your mother was indeed sick in the head, selling her little girl for money." He looks at the marks and sighs "Where is your mother now?"

Shrugs. "Somewhere overseas." Winces and grips my arm as the infection begins to worsen.

"You think Benji wants you to die like this?" Dan gives a stern look

She just turns her head gripping the wound tighter and whimpers in pain.

Dan pulls out a needle with antibiotics and holds it up "Make the choice now. Do you love Benji or not? Do you want to be with him? Do you really believe your life is not worth living anymore? Benji cares for you deeply. He wouldnt want you to be so down on yourself for one little mistake in your life. You think your father would want you to die? Why do you think your father drank that solution? To protect you."

She doesn't say anything but just grips her arm tighter as the pain increases.

"As your doctor I am ordering you to take the antibiotics. How do you feel about Benji losing you? How do you feel about Benji? If you care for him you will take the antibiotics now."

She still doesn't reply not knowing what to choose and glances between the door and the antibiotics.

Dan looks at the door then back to Yukima "Its your choice, live a happy life with Benji, or head out that door feeling miserable for yourself knowing that you may very well die and disappoint your father who was willing you protect you at the cost of his own life. Whats it going to be then?" Dan gets a text but ignores it for now.

She lowers her head gripping her wound tighter as tears run down her cheeks and she squeaks out. "It hurts."

"Then let me give you the antibiotics for it ok? I need to clean the wound as well ok?" Dan looks at you concerned

She hesitates for a few more minutes looking at you tears still rolling down her cheeks.

Dan checks his message quickly and frowns "Just take the antibiotics, Benji is going to need you."

"What's wrong with Benji?" She winces again gripping her shoulder tighter. "I can't let go. Position the needle between my fingers."

Dan positions the needle and gives her the shot quickly before she moves then pulls out a clean swab putting a liquid onto it and applies it to the wound "Lets get to the hospital quick." Dan opens up the door for her to go out

She stands up and follows him. "Whats going on?"

"Its benji....he...got hit by a car." Dan gets into his car.

"He what?!" She gets in the car quickly and buckles her seat belt.

Dan fumbles around with the keys and drops them and curses and picks them up fumbling with them, then he just breaks out crying

She gets out of the passenger seat and walks over to the drivers side pushing you over to the passenger seat and takes the keys putting them in the ignition taking off down the road.
